Manuel Gonzalez Spanish from Madrid, graduated at Magny Cours near Nevers in France and with an early race, FIM World Supersport 300 Champion, thus giving Airoh the ninetieth World title of his history. Manuel with his 17 years and 56 days of age, becomes the youngest Champion in the history of motorcycling.
The young Airohrider, in the sixteen races held so far in the World Championship reserved for the derivatives of the series, has conquered 9 podiums of which three victories and has taken the same number of the pole position.
Starting from the middle of the grid, he has recovered until he reached the leading group, Manuel was good at controlling the situation, however, taking the lead several times and then, thanks to the large advantage gained in the Championship and with only one race yet to go, manage the final laps and finish on the second step of the podium, thus winning the title with 148 points against the 106 of his most direct opponent.
Gonzalez has so managed to win the title at the end of a season that saw him stand out in the WorldSBK paddock and will now be able to enjoy the last round, which will be contest in Qatar, without pressure and already thinking about the 2020 season.
